Administrative / Biographical History
Briton Ferry Local Board of Health was set up in 1864 and covered the area of the ancient parish of Briton Ferry, Glamorgan. In 1894 it ceased to exist and was replaced by Briton Ferry Urban District Council, which covered the same area.
