Administrative / Biographical History

James Ferguson Boyd studied medicine at Glasgow University gaining his MB ChB in 1948, MD (with Commendation) in 1960. FRCP Edinburgh in 1966, FRCP Glas 1975 and FRCPath 1973. He was formerly Senior Lecturer in the Pathology of Infectious Diseases at Glasgow University and Honorary Consultant in Pathology at Ruchill Hospital, The Western Infirmary, Gartnaval General Hospital and Stobhill General Hospital. His published papers include the “Pathology of the alimentary tract in salmonella typhimurium food poisoning”, Gut, 1985, 26 and the “Histopathology of enterovirus infections of newborn mice,” Journal of Infection, 1987, 15.
