The Wigan Co-operative Stores seem to be a failed prelude to the Wigan Co-operative Society which was established in 1889. No other information on the Wigan Co-operative Stores is known.

Custodial History

Found in the Bolton offices of United Co-operatives in 1983. The ledger was then transferred, in December 1983, to the Co-operative Union Library by United Co-operatives Secretary, Mr J A Galloway.
