Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Bethania was a Welsh Independent chapel situated at the junction of Bethania Terrace and Cattybrook Terrace, Cwmafan, Glamorgan. It was built in 1850 and rebuilt in 1858. At some point in the 2000s, having shared a minister since 1978, the congregation at Bethania merged with that from Seion (another Welsh Independent church in Cwmafan, also known as Zion, demolished by 2009), and the church was renamed Seion Bethania. It closed in c. 2017 and was demolished in 2018.
