Correspondence does not appear to have been retained by any specific criteria by the company. World War Two correspondence has been retained primarily where ships were being managed for the British Government and where Ben ships were requisitioned. Other general correspondence is sporadic and covers a relatively small area of the company's operations, surviving where items of interest are included.
