Typed notes by W.R. Brock, regarding the correspondence contained in the Scott family papers, 1887. Papers are held by the Virginia historical society. 1887. Brock only has the following to say about the correspondence.
A letter of condolence written to James Scott of New York by Paterson, Gibb & Co., Glasgow, on the death of Scott's brother, Thomas (30th November, 1887).
