Administrative / Biographical History

John Brash de Vere Weir was born in c.1918  and was an arts and medical student at the University of Glasgow , Scotland between the years 1926-1941  .

In his first year, 1926-1927, he studied Maths and Natural Philosophy. The following year he took Logic, Higher Maths and Natural Philosophy. In his third year he studied Maths (Hons), Natural Philosophy (Hons) and French (Ordinary). In his final year, 1929-1930, Weir studied Maths and natural Philosophy. He graduated MA in 1930  and MB ChB in 1941  .

He went on to become a Senior Lecturer in Physiology at the University of Glasgow from 1946-1973  .
