Incorporated in 1964, the company was created out of the combined interests of A & S Henry & Co (Dundee) Ltd, Robertson Industrial Textiles (then a subsidiary of Unijute Ltd) James Scott & Sons Ltd (producing company of Mid Wynd Holding Co Ltd), and Marshall & Brush Ltd. Their aim was the establishment of a synthetic face yarn spinning mill, which was ultimately built at Glenrothes. Production at the factory began in 1966, and continued until 1974.
