Administrative / Biographical History

Incorporated in 1964, the company was created out of the combined interests of A & S Henry & Co (Dundee) Ltd, Robertson Industrial Textiles (then a subsidiary of Unijute Ltd) James Scott & Sons Ltd (producing company of Mid Wynd Holding Co Ltd), and Marshall & Brush Ltd. Their aim was the establishment of a synthetic face yarn spinning mill, which was ultimately built at Glenrothes. Production at the factory began in 1966, and continued until 1974. At this time the company was wholly owned by Scott & Robertson Ltd. The plant was sold off in 1977.
