Robert Pierrepont, the 3rd Earl of Kingston-upon-Hull, was born c1660. The eldest son of Robert Pierrepont of Thoresby, Nottinghamshire, and his wife Elizabeth Evelyn. In 1680 upon the death of his great-uncle Henry Pierrepont he became Earl of Kingston-upon-Hull. He died in June 1682 and having never married was succeeded by his brother William.
