Papers re the creation of a new bowling green in Menai Bridge

Papers sent to Councillor R. I. Williams, J. P. with regards to the National Council of Social Service scheme for financial help to assist with voluntary schemes for the unemployed and a visit by H. R. H. Edward Prince of Wales to open the new bowling green in Menai Bridge.

Edward VIII (23 June 1894 - 28 May 1972) was King of the United Kingdom from 20 January 1936 until his abdication on 11 December the same year. He had been made Prince of Wales on his 16th Birthday. In 1932 he urged the British public to help the poor and unemployed. This collection of papers were sent to Councillor R. I. Williams,

J. P. with regards to the National Council of Social Service grant for financial help to assist with voluntary schemes for the unemployed. The scheme proposed in Menai Bridge was to level a piece of land called Boncan Begi and create a bowling green.
