Scope and Content

The Britannia County Infants School was located on Britannia Road. The school started out as the Cherwell Britsh Schools, which were opened in 1861. In 1904 the school was reorganised as an Infants School and absorbed the Infants department of the Dashwood Road School. The school was then renamed the Dashwood Road Infants School but later renamed The Britannia County Infants School.

These records were transferred from the Oxfordshire Education Department to the Oxfordshire History Centre. Recatalogued by Alison Smith in December 2013.
