Scope and Content

The Coat with the Silver Lining and Other Stories for Young People, by "Old China Hands". Small book written by members of the China Inland Mission and published by the Religious Tract Society in 1926 (N.B. though not stated, dates in the stories indicated that this is a later edition). Book includes the story of John McCarthy's walk across China; a parable of a beggar girl; a story of The Purple City; A Chinese Sermon; a story of a Scot named Duncan which also includes James Hudson Taylor; and a chapter on primitive writings. The book has been covered in brown paper.
