Administrative / Biographical History

D. Caradog Jones (1910-1973) was the Labour Party candidate for Montgomeryshire in 1951, 1955 and 1959. He was the editor of The Social Survey of Merseyside, vols. I-III (1934). He also pubished with A. M. Carr-Saunders, A Survey of the Social Structure of England and Wales (1937).

Arranged into the following: papers concerning the Labour Party and Welsh rural areas; general correspondence and papers; press cuttings concerning DCJ and Montgomeryshire politics (1st group); and miscellaneous letters to DCJ and carbon copies of letters from him (2nd group).
