Scope and Content

Printers' files and related papers relating to divisional Labour Party general and local government election pamphlets, posters and addresses, 1950-1986; Cardiff May Day Rally, 1964-1965; Cardiff ward branches, 1961-1986; the Welsh Centre for International Affairs, 1973-1986; and Brynlliw Lodge and the National Union of Mineworkers (South Wales Area), 1953-1984.

Very little information has been found on the Cymric Federation Press. It appears to have been active 1920-1987, and may have been the one of the main printers for various organisations in Wales, including the Labour Party, the Welsh Centre for International Affairs and the National Union of Mineworkers, South Wales Area.

Arrangement

Arranged into the following groups: divisional parties, ward branches, and miscellaneous. Papers relating to the executive council and annual conference of the National Union of Mineworkers (South Wales Area), 1953-1984, have been transferred to the Department of Printed Books.

Donated by the National Union of Mineworkers (South Wales Area), Sardis Road, Pontypridd, Mid Glamorgan, per Mr Dave Kennedy, in December 1987.
