Scope and Content

Three albums of photographs (numbered 1-340) of books bound by Birdsall & Son, and of older books and manuscripts apparently repaired by them (nos 315-39A); one album containing more than eighty photographs of illuminated addresses produced by the firm; two small boxes containing numbered duplicate photographs of historic bindings, manuscripts and early printed books (see also boxes 18-19 below).
