Administrative / Biographical History

David Clark Miln graduated from the University of Glasgow MB ChB (with commendation) in 1935. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1962. His posts included Assistant Surgeon of the Eastern District Hospitals in Glasgow, Surgeon in Out-Patients, Glasgow Royal Informary, Major in the RAMC, Consultant Surgeon at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Lecturer in Clinical Surgery at Glasgow University. He was author of “Gastric Haemorrhage in Burns” which was published in the Glasgow Medical Journal in 1946, “Acute colonic obstruction due to pancreatitis” published in The Lancet in 1952 and “Haemangioblastoma of the breast”, British Journal of Surgery, 1957.
