Administrative / Biographical History
The Youth Employment Committee was set up by Glamorgan County Council c1949 to assist school leavers in finding work. The Mid Glamorgan division included Bridgend, Kenfig Hill, Maesteg, Ogmore Vale, Pontycymmer and Porthcawl. After 1994 the careers service was taken over by private companies such as Careers Wales
