Administrative / Biographical History

T. G. Walker was a teacher, naturalist and writer who spent his life in Anglesey. He was equally eloquent in Welsh and English. His many books and articles were valuable vehicles for popularizing nature among children and 'ordinary' people. Walker, or 'Wac' (in the 30s-50s) and his brilliant 'disciple' Ted Breeze Jones (50s-90s), both enthusiastic primary teachers, did more to raise positive awareness of nature in the 20th century than nobody else. He was headmaster at Ysgol Henblas, Llangristiolus. He was respected as a teacher, and was always keen to spark the children's enthusiasm for nature.
