Scope and Content

Dominant colour of design: Rose Grey BS1017. Additional info: 'SK/CH 538' & green dot; 'J.M.'; '3/6231' but scored out; 'No.2607' also scored out; 'Note: The small cutting of carpet attached gives the colour for the rose-taupe shade, but for the relative depths of shades please follow sketch closely. A little modification had to be made to suit the design; for instance the light leaf colour is an addition, and the fourth shade of the sketch is made a little lighter than cutting to bring it more half way between the third shade and the 'nigger'. Another alteration is in the bronze used occassionally on the leaves which we have made browner and darker. In all these points please copy sketch closely'.
