Invitation to presentation of honorary freedom of City of London to Florence Nightingale at Guildhall, [London] (with description of casket to be presented to her by Corporation of City of London). (Florence Nightingale was represented by a relative at the ceremony. The casket was made of oak rather than the originally intended gold, as she requested that the money that would have been spent on this should instead be used for charitable purposes; as a result the Hospital for Invalid Gentlewomen received 100 guineas)
