On the front is written the name Edward Jones, but it actually belonged to James Jones carpenter of Wardington which is confirmed by the 1851 census for Wardington which lists a James Jones master carpenter aged 40 employing 3 men. In the same household there also resides an Edward Jones, son of James above, aged 15, a carpenter's apprentice. James's other employees were William Lovel and John Parritts.
