Two aerial photographs of the centre of Neath, the purpose of which seems to have been to show the newly-built Neath Civic Centre, which was opened in 1966 to serve Neath Borough Council and Neath Rural District Council. Both are taken obliquely; one looks eastwards and includes St Thomas' Church, the Gwyn Hall, St David's Church, Alderman Davies School, the Gnoll Rugby Ground and playing fields behind, and parts of Llantwit Road. The other looks northwards across Victoria Park towards the civic centre, and includes St Thomas' and St David's Churches, the Gwyn Hall, Alderman Davies School, Gnoll Park School, part of the Gnoll Rogby Ground, Gnoll Park Road, and marshland adjoining the River Neath in the distance.
