Administrative / Biographical History
The properties at 17-19 King Street, Carmarthen, were held by a number of parties during the 19th century. In 1856 Robert Eaton of Brynymor, Swansea, leased a house to William J. Morgan, a currier. Morgan leased 17-19 King Street to William Richard Edwards, a draper, in 1864. Edwards continued to hold the property, called 'The Emporium' until at least 1903.
