Scope and Content

Little Milton is situated 12 miles southeast of Oxford. The parish was originally a chapelry of Great Milton until 1844 and a peculiar of Thame until 1846. For earlier records please see the parish of Great Milton, PAR171.

The records were originally deposited in the Bodleian Library by Little Milton Parochial Church Council 1982, apart from PAR172/16/H1/1 that was deposited by Little Milton Parish Council in 1973. The material was then transferred to the Oxfordshire Record Office. Further records were deposited by Revd CR Abbott of Great Milton as Acc 3086 in 1990 and Acc 3510 in 1992.

A conspectus of new and old references is included at the end of this catalogue. Catalogued by Alison Smith, December 2008
