'Estuary Opening'

Amateur video taken during a group walk from Conwy quay across the Conwy bridge to the Deganwy side of the river. The video is labelled 'Estuary Opening' and records the opening of the Conwy Estuary cycle track. The group includes a man in mayoral chains [Mayor of Conwy?] and the group is being led by two women dressed up as an old sailor/fisherman and a sort of Dolly Parton inspired mermaid ['Molly Parsons']. The 'blocks' seen being placed in the concrete embankment were created by artist Claire Barber as part of her Quilting The Estuary an art project associated with the development of the cycle path.
