Scope and Content

A supplementary group of documents deposited by Brigadier C. Hilary V. Pritchard, D.S.O. Dol'rhyd, Dolgelley, September 1949. Includes three deeds, 1564-96, relating to dolyknavon, Abergeirow vcha, Abergirow Issa, kay gwyn, blaen glyn, and y kay poyth in Nanney, dolychowgryd (Dolychogryth yche) and kevengarthmaylan in Garthmaylan, and properties in Dolgelley, Trawsvenith, Lloingorill, Llanickill, Llanvlltid, Pryssor, and Dolgleder, co. Merioneth; five deeds, 1767-78, relating to properties in Dolgelley, Llanfachreth, Towyn, Clynin, Mowddwy, Llan Elltyd, Llan Aber, Trawsfynydd, Llan Egrin, Tal y Llyn, and Llanuwchllyn, co. Merioneth, and in co. Caernarvon, and to timber growing on Nanney Demesne Farm, Glastir Issa, Friddgoch, Bryn Prydydd, Cae Crwth, Cellfachreth, Nantgwanhidiw, Galtfelan, Galt y carw, Doluwcheogryd and Tyddun bach, parishes of Llanfachreth and Dolgelley, co. Merioneth; and four letters patent appointing Edward Williames Salesbury Vaughan, esq., to the office of constable of the castle of Harleigh, co. Merioneth, 1786, and Griffith Howell Vaughan, esq., to the same office, 1808, and to the office of constable of the castle and town of Conway, co. Caernarvon, 1813 and 1837. [Note. One of these deeds, a bond (30 April, 1596) for the quiet enjoyment and further assurance of dolychowgryth vcha, is in the form of a photostat reproduction, the original having been returned to the depositor.].
