Scope and Content

The Oxfordshire North and Central Coroners District was formed in 1975 from a merger of the the Oxford City and Central Coroners District (please see COR3 for these records), the North Western Oxfordshire Coroners District (please see COR5 for these records) and the Banbury Borough Coroners District (please see COR9 for these records). In 1981 it merged with South Oxfordshire Coroners District (please see COR7 for these records) and South West Oxfordshire Coroners District (please see COR8 for these records) to form the Oxfordshire Coroners District (please see COR11 for these records).

The records were deposited as Acc 4610, Acc 4611, Acc 4612, Acc 4613, Acc 4614, Acc 4615 and Acc 4616 all in October 1999. Catalogued by Alison Smith, Anna Clark and Jennie Montague-Jones in April 2022.
