Mich questions whether one of St. C.'s Secretaries had addressed the letter to him/her. Mich disputes that it is six months since he/she has written, but believes his/her own letters to be very dull. Mentions that she/he is in Rottingdean with a friend, Jessie Thomas, his/her Father and his friend, Mr Richmond. Mich is looking forward to the return of the Coastguard as she/he misses him.
