Scope and Content

Circular, bronze, metal badge with a shield at the centre belonging to Sarah Hough.. Beneath the shield is the motto “Concilo et Labore.” Around the edge reads “Crumpsall Infirmary Manchester.” On the reverse is engraved: “Sarah Gert. Hough, 11 Oct. 1926.”

Administrative / Biographical History

Sarah Hough completed her nursing training at the Crumpsall Infirmary, Manchester, 1926. In 1928 she qualified as a midwife with the Central Midwives Board.
