Most of the documents described in this section are original records relating to members of the Belson family. There is also a photocopy of George John Belson's diary recording his service in the Peniinsula War at F1/5/J/1.

The members of the family represented are:

Charles Philip Belson (1773-1830); Henry Fage Belson (1788-1849) and his wife Anne Harwood Eveleigh (1792-1846); William Whitelocke Belson (1795-1813); William Eveleigh Belson (1826-1899); Frederick Charles Belson (1827-1855); Henry George Belson (1831-1876); Anna Maria Smythies, nee Belson (1835-1910); Frederick Charles Belson (1874-1852).
