The professional correspondence section is arranged into series of letters in the order: productions; films; poetry; the arts world; political causes, issues and organisations; The Pinter Review. A number of the letters have been annotated at a later date with the surnames of the correspondents. The letters were originally stored in lever arch files; in this catalogue each volume represents one lever arch file, unless otherwise stated. Not all names within each folder have been indexed. Of those that have been indexed, there may be multiple letters from each person in any one section.
