A Board School for Shorthampton parish was built in the village of Chilson in 1875. A School Board of five members was formed in 1875 for Shorthampton with Chilson and Pudlicote. The records were deposited as part of Acc 3387 in January 1992, as part of Acc 3937 in February 1995 and as part of Acc 4453 in February 1999.
