Papers: Cefn Farm, Beaumaris including mainly receipts and some correspondence addressed to Mr Arnold re erecting a bungalow at Cefn.

Cefn straddles the Llandegfan/Beaumaris border. It was built pre-1841 as at that date, and in 1851and 1861, it was occupied by John Jones and his family, John describing himself as labourer, then groom and lastly agricultural labourer. In 1871 the house had been taken over by Thomas Harrison and Jack Acken, both gamekeepers. In 1881 Thomas Owen, another gamekeeper lived there. In 1891 and 1901 it was in the occupation of John Watson, yet another gamekeeper. In 1901 the house was referred to as Cefn Castle House. In the tithe of 1924 the landowner is given as Sir Richard Bulkeley and the land as 123 acres, most of which was probably the Cefn Plantation to the west of the house.
