The collection comprises of plans and the log of the expedition ship Scotia.

The Log of the Scotia edited by Peter Speak, Edinburgh University Press (1992) ISBN 0746802933 SPRI library shelf (7)91(08)[1902-1904] provides a published account of the logs and reproductions of the plans.

The Scott Polar Research Institute holds a number of photographs, film and other illustrative material in the Picture Library, some of which covers this expedition. The catalogue can be searched on line by going to the Picture Library Database and selecting the Enter Polar Pictures link.

The Institute holds around 18 archival collections, which contain material relating to this expedition, Wilhelm Brennecke, John Harvie-Brown, William Speirs Bruce, H J Bull, Charles Chilton, James Ferrier, Joseph Dalton Hooker, Einar Longberg, David Macritchie, Robert Mossman, James Pirie, L N A Ramsey, Charles Tate Regan, Thomas Robertson, Robert Neal Rudmose Brown, J B Tait, David Wilton and Thomas Whitson. This material comprises of journals, scientific observations and correspondence.

Glasgow University also hold a photographic collection for the expedition.
