Records are open to the public, subject to the overriding provisions of relevant legislation, including data protection laws. 24 hours' notice is required to access photographic material.

The records were transferred to the Borthwick Institute in the 1990s.

This archive was partially catalogued by Dr Colin Tyler in 1997 and a paper finding aid is available at the Borthwick Institute.
