A transcript [watermark 1849] of a memoir of the Reverend William Higgs Barker (1743-1816), master of Carmarthen Grammar School, 1767-96, and vicar of St Peter's Carmarthen, 1796-1816, first compiled in 1818 by his youngest son, the Reverend John Crawford Barker (b. ca. 1791), rector of St George's, Grenada, and rewritten by him in 1838; notes and corrections have been added by later hands.
