Administrative / Biographical History

Richard John qualified as a solicitor in April 1937. He worked as a prosecuting solicitor in Glamorgan until appointed Deputy Clerk of the Peace in April 1952. He then became Clerk of the Peace of Glamorgan in September 1953, from which position he retired in June 1969. After this date he continued to be involved with organisations such as Cardiff YMCA, Preservation of Built Heritage in Wales and others.
