Regarding the "Gude and Godlie Psalter", the Toughs of Ayton, and work on a new hymn book; mentions Patrick Hamilton, D. H. Edwards, Margaret and Mary-Ann Tough and their father, W. P. Kennedy, Dr. Lorimer, Cairns' Uncle William, Mr. Porteous, Dr. Henderson, Cairns' father, Mr. Polson, Mearns' father, and Mearns' sister Miss Cuthbert. 6 December 1895.
