The Launton Road site for Bicester County Grammar School, known as Bicester Hall, was acquired by Oxfordshire County Council in 1919 and opened in 1924. In 1963 the school moved to new facilities at Highfield Secondary Modern School and in 1966 they amalgamated to become Bicester Comprehensive School. Please see CC4/239 for other records of this school and S31/5 for other records of the Comprehensive School.
These records were deposited as Acc 3317 in August 1991 and also transferred from the Oxfordshire Education Department to the Oxfordshire History Centre. Recatalogued by Alison Smith in December 2013.
