Administrative / Biographical History
The Iscoed estate in the parish of St Ishmael, Carmarthenshire, was occupied by the Picton family from the early 19th century after it had been bought by General Sir Thomas Picton from Sir John Bell William Mansel. Iscoed was the seat for several generations of the Picton family until 1917, when it was sold.
