The collection comprises of correspondence by Elizabeth to James Clark Ross relating to family matters

Elizabeth Bowmer was a contemporary of James Clark Ross (1800-1862). She served as housekeeper to Ross's cousin Robert Coulman

The correspondence to Ross is arranged chronologically
