A Baptist Church has existed in Chipping Norton since 18th century at least: a Register of Births from 1767-1831 from it has been deposited with the Public Record Office, a transcript of which may
be found in the searchroom of Oxfordshire Archives. However, the only papers specifically relating to this church which are here in Oxford are the following small collection of bills relating to money spent on treats for the church choir, usually in connection with their carol service, which were discovered among the papers of Chipping Norton Borough, which had been deposited here in 1979 as Accession No. 1668.
Catalogued by Robin Darwall-Smith in September 1996.
