The Museums Association was founded in 1889 to promote the interest of museums and art galleries; to facilitate the exchange of views between members of museums staff both at home and overseas, and to improve the status and qualifications of all those connected with the museum profession.
Davies was elected (at the Annual General Meeting held on 12 July 1973) to sit as Vice President for the year 1973-1974.
