Series of drafts, draft material and correspondence relating to 33 of Peter Dickinson's published titles for children. Each title constitutes a sub-series, within which are individual files of draft material and correspondence. This reflects Dickinson's original system of arrangement, keeping separate files for each title, but does mean that in the case of correspondence there can be a great deal of overlap between the correspondence files in different sub-series, and on some occasions the allocation of letters to particular files is somewhat arbitrary. The sub-series are arranged chronologically according to the first publication date of each title.
