D. D. Evans ([1877]-1966), of Llanio, an antiquarian, completed an agriculture course at the Aberystwyth Agricultural College. He was one of the founding members of the Royal Welsh Show and also of the Cardiganshire Antiquarian Society. D. D. Evans had succeeded his uncle, Samuel Evans Jones, at Llanio Fawr, Llanddewibrefi, following the death of the latter in 1907.
