Carrier Air Conditioning, 1910-1989

Carrier Air Conditioning Company of America was established in 1908, being a subsidiary of Buffalo Forge. The independent Carrier Corporation was set up in the USA in 1915. The majority of the items in this section were collected and donated by the late J A E (Archie) Heard, MD of Carrier UK and Chairman of the Archaeology Working Party prior to it being reformed as the CIBSE Heritage Group with Brian Roberts as Chairman. In 2018 additional Engineering Guides and other material was donated by Paul Yunnie, former Vice-Chairman Heritage Group and Chairman ASHRAE Historical Committee.
