They mostly concern member of the Marriott and Clinch families, who were related by marriage, and who lived at Witney. Even deeds not about these families themselves concern property at Witney. The Marriott family is a distinguished one in Witney. One branch ran coal merchants business, and another joined forces with the Early family in blanket manufacturing. Record from both
