Cowley Parish Council was formed in 1894 but was dissolved in 1929 as a result of changes to the organisation of Oxford City. There were proposals for a Cowley Urban District Council but ultimately the business of the Council was transferred to Oxford City.
The records were originally deposited with Oxford City Archives under the Oxford Extension Act 1928. They were later transferred to Oxfordshire History Centre as Acc 6498 in September 2016. Catalogued by Alison Smith in September 2016.
