Sefydlwyd cynghorau plwyf o dan Ddeddf Llywodraeth Leol 1894 i drin gweinyddiaeth sifil. Gall y cofnodion gynnwys llyfrau cofnodion, datganiadau ariannol, gohebiaeth, copïau o geisiadau cynllunio, a rhestrau cyfradd. Yn sgil aildrefnu llywodraeth leol ym 1974, disodlwyd y cynghorau plwyf gan gynghorau cymuned.

Civil parish councils were established by the Local Government Act 1894. The records can include minute books, financial statements, correspondence, copies of planning applications, and rate lists. Community councils replaced parish councils under the local government reorganisation in 1974.
