Scope and Content

This school was opened in 1872 as a National School in the same building as the Girls and Infants in South Street, Osney. In 1904 a new boys' school was built in Binsey Lane, which opened the following year. This school continued to act as a full range school until its closure in 1957. The pupils were transferred to the West Oxford Council School (for records see S202/3).

These records were received as part of a transfer of records from the Education Department and as Acc 3665 in June 1993.
